Text Box: Sally was a beagle who made her way to BARC from a Texas Rescue that found her wandering. We think she was a puppy mill mother dog that got out or was kicked out. We will never know, but she arrived safely and we soon discovered she was pregnant! A wonderful foster family took her in, cleaned her up, got her medical attention needed and delivered her puppies. Soon after Sally delivered, she lost interest in the pups. This tends to be common in dogs that are over-bred, like puppy mill dogs.
We can't blame Sally - it is the reality of the cruelty of the mills.

Text Box: Thank you Dolce, for not only caring for your own pups but for saving the lives of our desperate beagle-mix pups. Rather than returning Dolce and her puppies to the dog pound where they would be put to sleep, BARC decided to take them into rescue and find them homes. BARC now has 14 little puppies who will need basic medical care, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures performed before they can be placed into a forever home. Please find it in your heart to help out one of these little ones, just as Dolce did.
Text Box: We began to worry about the health of the pups since Sally was not able to clean, feed and keep them warm. BARC frantically was searching for a solution to save the pups, and then Dolce found us. Maricopa County Animal Control called and asked if we were interested in a Pit Bull Mix who had just given birth to a litter of pups. These pups were born very close to the same time Sally's were. Dolce and her pups were picked up and brought to the home of BARC's President and Sally's pups were transported as fast as we could to Dolce to see if she would accept these pups and save them. As soon as the pups were placed in the basket with her and her own pups she began cleaning and feeding them. We were elated with joy that Dolce took them in as her own and gave them a
second chance.

As little as $15 can pay for a round of vaccinations for one puppy.
$50 can help us cover and spay/neuter surgery. Every little bit will give these pups a healthy start to a new life.
Please donate if you are able.
